The latest move by the UK-based betting business bet365 sees its continued expansion into North America via its latest launch into West Virginia– making it now live in 18 states. As well as accessing the company's online casino and betting products, West Virginians can also benefit from features like 'Early Payout Offer' and 'Daily Prize Matcher'. There are two sign-up offers also available.
New players who register an account at bet365 in West Virginia can either 'bet $10, get $150 + 50 free spins' for the sportsbook or get a '$1,000 deposit match + 1,000 free spins' for the casino.
Players can also enjoy one of the company's latest products - Jackpot365. The Jackpot365 opt-in jackpot game launched in December 2025 and has gone on to reward more than $65M in prize money.
North America expansion for bet365
Launched in Stoke-on-Trent, in the year 2000, bet365 is headed by Denise Coates, and her brother John. The company's success in the UK saw it expand further globally into North America, starting with New Jersey in 2019.
In the last 12 months, bet365 has launched in Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Michigan, having already launched sports betting in Illinois and Tennessee earlier in 2025 too.
Additionally, it opened its US headquarters in Denver in 2024 and launched a dedicated North American marketing campaign 'Winning is Everything' in March this year as well.
After convincing the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to reopen its sports betting license application process in April, The Bay State could represent the next sports betting frontier for the operator.
West Virginia sports betting
Trip Stoddard, bet365 Head of Development, said: "West Virginia represents another important step in bet365's continued expansion across North America. As we grow our presence across the region, our focus remains on bringing customers the quality, depth and functionality that define the bet365 platform."
West Virginia regulated sports betting back in 2018, following up with an online casino launch in 2020. While its revenue doesn't match that of larger regulated markets like Pennsylvania or New Jersey, it does generate approximately $439M a year in annual revenue. DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM all have presences in the state.
The company is keen to launch just in time for the football season, with Stoddard saying: "With football season just around the corner, it's an exciting time to introduce our sportsbook and casino offerings to customers across the state."
NFL launch strategy
As for football, the NFL's first game kicks off in less than a week. Although West Virginia has no official NFL franchises in the state, there is strong local following for nearby teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers. West Virginia University Mountaineers compete in the NCAA Division I and the college league kicked off around a week ago.
Approximately $30B a year is bet on the NFL, making it the largest US sports betting market available, and an important element in the company's North American strategy.
Alongside its sportsbook, bet365 will also benefit from West Virginia's regulated online casino market. While sports betting is regulated in nearly 40 states, iGaming has seen slower uptake. WV is one of only seven states that has regulated online casinos.
