Lucy began her journalism journey by launching her own music blog at just 16, using it as a steppingstone to enter university and build a writing portfolio that included contributions to Louder Than War and Gigwise. During university, she discovered Brazilian jiu jitsu — a passion that soon led her to writing for MMA publications and entering the world of sports journalism.
