Online casino operator bet365 has revealed the most popular slot games among US players in May 2026 through its inaugural Gaming Insights and Performance report - which covers the platform's biggest titles each month.
The report lifts the lid on bet365's internal playing figures across multiple regions for the first time, with US engagement a core component.
Unveiling bet365's top games from all three supported states
In its multi-territory report, bet365 confirmed that May customer engagement spanning over 7,500 games had been analyzed across 20 different markets to assemble this data.
Having entered Michigan in April, the platform is now available in three states where online casino products are legal; New Jersey and Pennsylvania represent bet365's other supported states.
The British operator outlined that game ranking is, "measured using an algorithm that takes into account metrics such as revenue, stakes, sessions and engagement."
Moreover, the brand expects its findings to shine a light on modern player preferences and "inform ongoing strategic decisions" associated with forthcoming industry maneuvers.
Pertinently, bet365 also stated that this data-crunching only applies to slots interactivity and does not comprise statistics for table games or live casino rooms.
Hypernova Megaways leads in Michigan
The Wolverine State welcomed bet365 players for the first time in April, with May representing the operator's second month serving Michiganders.
Reelplay's Hypernova Megaways proved most popular among Michigan players - jumping from second most-popular in April to take the state crown in May. The game's main features include cascading reels, up to 117,649 ways to win and retriggerable respins.
Perhaps most noteworthy is the success of Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap by Design Works Gaming, which debuted in second position upon entering bet365's most-played list in Michigan.
Cash Eruption took third spot - equalling its April rank - while Huff N Even More Puff Grand hiked 32 positions to become Michigan's fourth most popular slot.
New Jersey: Piggy Payouts wins big
Design Works Gaming's May success was not limited to Michigan, as the software provider took top spot on New Jersey's bet365 popularity leaderboard via Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap.
Next in line was big-mover Liberty Diamond, which rose 25 places from April's ranking. And, as was the case in Michigan, Cash Eruption rounded out the top three in New Jersey.
Other significant gains were seen for Big Piggy Bank, which escalated 10 spots to fifth, and Age of the Gods: Collect 'Em, which scaled 38 places to 10th.
NetEnt and IGT popular in Pennsylvania
Newly-introduced NetEnt slot Scruffy Duck (2017) was favored over all other games in The Keystone State, snatching first-place from Cash Eruption: High Stakes, which itself swung from 23rd in April to second in May.
The standard version of Cash Eruption secured a hat-trick of third-place rankings, moving from the previous month's sixth.
Meanwhile, Thunder Blitz (fifth), Lucky Larry's Lobstermania 2 (sixth) and Mad Mad Monkey (ninth) enjoyed notable debuts on bet365 Casino's Pennsylvania platform.
More data expected in July
Within the public release of its May 2026 report, bet365 verified that month-to-month US data will continue to be made available in the future. This means that the next report will be focused on June 2026, to be released in July.
The operator's public-facing information also covers the Canadian market on a provincial and nationwide basis - statistics tied to operations in Canada are scheduled to be disclosed alongside monthly US figures.
