One lucky casino player, from Atlanta, collected a $10,292,912.32 jackpot at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

The player, who had only been on the slots for a few minutes, won the life-changing amount from a $5 spin on the IGT Megabucks Wolf Run Eclipse slot. The game is part of the IGT Megabucks progressive jackpot.

IGT Megabucks prizes

The IGT Megabucks progressive jackpot was the world's first wide-area progressive jackpot system, launched in 1986. The progressive jackpot runs on several IGT slots, with a portion of every qualifying spin being added to the main prize.

Megabucks has become one of the most prominent progressive jackpot systems with Nevada players, thanks to some major wins. The biggest-ever jackpot awarded by one of these slots was $39.7M, paid out in 2003 at the Excalibur. The progressive jackpot seeds at $10M, which means it can never fall below this level, and it has produced some of the biggest slot wins, especially in Las Vegas.

Other substantial wins have included $27.6M, collected in 1998 at Palace Station Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas and a $22.6M prize handed out at Bally's Las Vegas in 2002.

The $10.2M Megabucks jackpot win

On this occasion, the player was playing the Wolf Run Eclipse slot, to trigger the famous IGT Megabucks jackpot.

Wolf Run Eclipse launched in 2025 as an updated version of IGT's Wolf Run. It is a 5x4 slot that, as well as offering access to the progressive jackpot, has four different bonuses and a wheel bonus. The major non-progressive prize is 5,000x the payout.

About the Westgate Las Vegas

The prize was won at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Westgate is located just off the Las Vegas Strip. It opened in 1969 as the International Hotel and, between 1981 and 1990, was the largest hotel in the world.

Elvis Presley performed a 7-year residency at the venue, and it continues to attract major names with Barry Manilow being the current headliner.

The casino has 95,000 square feet of gaming space, with many slots available. As well as Megabucks games, players can access popular titles like Blazing 7's, Wheel of Fortune, and Buffalo.

Previous Westgate winners

Westgate has had previous million-dollar winners. In March 2025, one player won just over $1M from a $2 spin on the Dollar Storm slot.

This month's win is significantly higher, though, and Cami Christensen, Westgate's President and General Manager, said: "Las Vegas is built on unforgettable moments, and it doesn't get much more memorable than turning a $5 bet into more than $10M.

"We're thrilled for our guest from Atlanta and love seeing these legendary stories happen at Westgate."

According to reports, the player celebrated their win with fellow guests and casino staff.
