BetMGM has become an official sponsor of the Minnesota Vikings in Canada! News comes by way of an announcement published on Thursday, September 10, confirming that BetMGM will be permitted to integrate Vikings branding across online casino products, sports betting services, as well as marketing activities.

One Vikings-branded product has already been produced as a result of this agreement, with Vikings Big Kick LuckyTap debuting in Ontario and Alberta.

Partnership exclusively applies to Canadian coverage

Although the Minnesota Vikings franchise is based in the US city of Minneapolis, this accord specifically leverages the brand's Canadian appeal.

Minnesota shares a border with two Canadian provinces, Manitoba and Ontario. BetMGM is directly vested in the latter, having provided online casino and sportsbook entertainment in Ontario since 2022.

Moreover, BetMGM's presence in Alberta - which relinquished its monopoly-style gambling market in July 2026 in favour of a competitive iGaming industry - allows the operator to bring Vikings branding to a second Canadian province.

Vikings Big Kick LuckyTap exclusively available at BetMGM

Alongside the partnership statement, BetMGM revealed the official launch of Vikings Big Kick LuckyTap - a mobile-optimised online casino game developed by Design Works Gaming featuring prominent Minnesota Vikings imagery in a virtual reproduction of the team's home field, US Bank Stadium.

The new product comprises Vikings branding within the game's end zone, which itself carries the team's familiar purple colourway.

Advertising boards sitting directly behind the goalposts also lean into the Vikings brand; the iconic Norseman emblem joins the BetMGM emblem in a scrolling LED-style box commonly seen throughout real NFL matchups.

Players are tasked with tapping the screen to 'kick' the ball between the goalposts. If successful, a multiplier appears in the centre of the goal frame - with adjacent footballs, Lombardi Trophies and MVP award trophies symbols transforming into win values.

Vikings eager to deepen Canadian connection

In a public message, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost praised the operator's unparalleled position in the sports-cross-iGaming space:

"Vikings fans bring a level of passion and loyalty that extends well beyond game day," began Prevost. "As the home of one of the largest collections of sports-themed casino content in North America, BetMGM is uniquely positioned to combine sports fandom with iGaming. We are eager to start football season off strong with another fantastic partnership, especially as we expand our reach in Canada to Alberta."

Meanwhile, Minnesota Vikings Chief Marketing Officer Martin Nance focused on scaling franchise popularity across Canada - presenting BetMGM as a suitable partnership vector for national growth:

"As we continue to deepen our connection with Vikings fans across Canada, we're proud to welcome BetMGM as the team's official sports betting and online casino partner in Canada. Their commitment to innovation and fan engagement aligns well with our organisation, and we're excited to create memorable experiences that celebrate Vikings football and connect with Canadian fans in new and meaningful ways," said Nance.
