DraftKings online sportsbook is now available to Puerto Rico residents after the Boston-based sportsbook launched its product there on February 23.
The online platform is only available to those who register in-person at their Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, which is the same location as where DraftKings launched their retail sportsbook back in November 2025.
"Puerto Rico has a passionate sports community and launching our online sportsbook allows us to meet our fans where they are," said Gregory Karamitis, DraftKings Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sports.
"With retail already live at Foxwoods El Juan Casino, mobile represents the next step in expanding the DraftKings experience across the island – giving eligible local customers a seamless, exciting and responsible way to engage with sports."
DraftKings, which operates in 26 US States, Washington D.C., Ontario and now Puerto Rico is the fourth major online sportsbook to launch on the island that legalized sports betting in 2019.
BetMGM and Caesars were the first to operate there via a casino partnership, whilst FanDuel launched their service last month via a mobile and retail partnership with CAGE. Currently, online casinos are not legal in Puerto Rico.
Those registered will be able to use DraftKings' sportsbook features that include same-game parlays, in-game wagering and special odds boosts, across a wide range of sporting events and leagues such as MLB, NFL, NBA, soccer and much more.
DraftKings Spanish translations
Interestingly, a few months ago DraftKings released a Spanish-language version for its online platforms. Thus showing the planning the website was doing in the background before launching its product in Puerto Rico, where Spanish is the most spoken language in the country.
"By bringing Spanish-language functionality to our best-in-class product, we're creating a more intuitive experience for our customers and expanding our total addressable market.
"This is consistent with our commitment to delivering the most authentic, personalized product for everyone", stated DraftKings chief product officer Corey Gottlieb.
2026 FIFA World Cup
The addition of its Spanish-language functionalities will also enable DraftKings to expand its brand presence and customer base in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup – which is ironically being hosted in North America.
Additionally, the previous edition of the tournament generated more than $1bn in wagers in the US alone, so a Spanish-friendly website will allow a greater proportion of soccer fans to bet on the biggest tournament in the world.
Whilst announcing the launch, DraftKings emphasized that players in Puerto Rico will also have access to all the same responsible gaming tools as those in the US.
Features include 'My Budget Builder' and 'My Stat Sheet'in its Responsible Gaming Center - allowing Puerto Rican players the opportunities to set limits and track their betting activity in a safe and responsible way.
As such, Puerto Rico residents now have the chance to enjoy DraftKings from the comforts of their own home – further strengthening the choice players have when it comes to online sportsbook providers on the island.
