Prediction market provider Kalshi has announced their latest business venture by having entered into a multi-year partnership with Madison Square Garden. BonusFinder, an online casino comparison site, dives into the deal.

Announced on May 8, the deal recognized Kalshi as the official prediction market partner of Madison Square Garden, widely regarded as 'The World's Most Famous Arena.'

Located at Pennsylvania Plaza in Midtown Manhattan, the name has been a fixture of New York's iconic entertainment venues since 1879, with the current venue in Pennsylvania Plaza having first opened its doors in 1968.

Now, the world's largest regulated prediction market platform has also secured naming rights for the landmark venue's sixth-floor concourse.

Kalshi Concourse at MSG

This key aspect of the partnership agreement will deliver the Kalshi Concourse, with the branding and activation to be showcased across the various sporting events that take place at MSG.

This area is a busy hub for the millions of fans who provide the footfall across the multitude of sporting events at Madison Square Garden each year, including the New York Knicks in the NBA, the New York Rangers in the NHL, boxing, UFC and various other events.

As expected, Kalshi branding will be prominent across the venue, with the deal including signage on the Seventh Avenue marquee, LED displays in the venue bowl, digital boards and interactive activations on the concourse.

Dedicated fan touchpoints with Kalshi are also planned.

MSG and Kalshi share "common vision" - Adam Barrick

Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, welcomed the announcement with the following comments:

"Madison Square Garden is an iconic staple in the lineage of New York cultural history, and we couldn't be more thrilled to officially become a part of the MSG family.

"Both MSG and Kalshi share a common vision of engaging consumers on the interests they are most passionate about."

His comments were echoed by Doug Jossem, EVP of Global Sports & Entertainment Partnerships at MSG Entertainment:

"By bringing The World's Most Famous Arena together with Kalshi, we are providing fans with a unique way to experience both brands," he said.

"We look forward to exploring how our companies can collaborate through this exciting new partnership."

Extended media rights for Kalshi, amid ongoing regulatory battles

Beyond the physical presence and visibility, the deal includes integration with MSG Networks, which broadcasts regional coverage for major New York professional teams.

This media aspect will carry Kalshi advertising and branded content, reaching audiences in the United States' largest media market.

Kalshi is increasingly tapping into the behavior and engagement of fans and consumers across sports, entertainment, music and current events, so there is common ground with this relationship, as MSG provides the backdrop for many major events within those fields.

The prediction market heavyweight will see the MSG deal as a major step in its brand-building strategy, at a time when it is still navigating troublesome regulatory waters.

Kalshi's past barriers to State-specific entr

In the most recent salvo on prediction market rules, the CFTC has backed Kalshi in its challenge to Ohio's regulatory stance.

Last year, the Buckeye State had ordered Kalshi to stop offering sports event contracts in the state, but on May 13, the CFTC appeared to step up its defence of federal authority with the filing of an amicus brief.

The Ohio case, and the wider battle across the States, continues.
