From Blackjack to online poker, which US State gambles the most? A new analysis from casino bonus comparison site, BonusFinder, reveals Google search data and trends, comparing the entire country. The result? A ranking of the States with the most online gambling activities!

For this ranking, we cross-referenced Google search data and regional trends for five online gaming categories: poker, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and slots.
For each State:

  • Collection and normalization – For each State, we analyzed Google search volume for every 10,000 people and Google Trends popularity index for five online games (poker, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and slots).
  • Calculating the score of each game – Each game’s score was based on a combination of search and trend data, weighted more heavily toward Google Search (60%) than Google Trends (40%) to emphasize real search interest over trending topics.
  • Regional score – The five game scores were then integrated equally (20% each) and finally transformed into an overall score from 1 to 100 that allows all regions to be compared on a uniform basis.
