BetMGM Casino and Fremantle have continued their partnership to introduce The Lion’s Share, a new pricing game segment to The Price Is Right, the longest-running game show on US television.
The innovative addition will be the first custom-branded game in the history of The Price Is Right, while it also represents the first new pricing slot since 2021.
BetMGM, the prominent online sportsbook and casino operator, has once again teamed up with Fremantle, a content producer and distributor, following on from the multiyear IP rights deal signed in January this year.
The Lions Share will raise the stakes for contestants, opening up a jackpot of up to $500,000 with luxury holidays and dream cars also up for grabs.
As part of the agreement, BetMGM will sponsor the game all the way through the season, commencing with the 54th season premiere on September 22, on CBS and also streamed on Paramount+.
What is The Lion’s Share?
The Lion’s Share will combine the challenge of getting the price of everyday items correct with the exciting gameplay of having to collect prize balls in a wind tunnel, with the jeopardy of losing everything.
Here is how the game will unfold:
In a typical Price Is Right format, players will need to guess the price of normal items, with each correct answer winning a ball, up to a maximum of five.
The balls will then be inserted into a wind tunnel, with contestants required to grab as many of them as possible. Each ball means a specific prize or outcome, including the unwanted ‘Lose It All’.
Next up, it is decision time. Contestants can opt to take what has been won so far, or play on with risk, and the chance of winning big.
Contestants and viewers alike are set to enjoy the familiar entertainment and price guessing of The Price Is Right, with the casino-style risk and reward element of The Lion’s Share elevating the overall experience.
Not only will it add to the television show, but plans are in motion to develop The Lion’s Share for casino and online gaming.

When The Lion’s Share arrives on BetMGM platforms, it will join other Price Is Right-themed slots like Fortune Pick and Gold Blitz Ultimate, plus other upcoming titles such as Cliff Hangers, Plinko, and The Big Wheel.
