Slotapalooza slot party saw 1,312 people playing Circa’s slots simultaneously
Circa Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, recently hosted ‘Slotapalooza’ – billed as the world’s biggest slots party. The all-day event took place on July 19 and saw slot activation giveaways, freeplay prizes, an open bar and a party session that saw all of the club’s 1,312 slot machines being played simultaneously.
This casino is a relatively new addition to Las Vegas’s roster of casinos, having opened its gaming doors to the public in October 2020. By the end of the year, it had also opened its resort rooms, and while the venue might be relatively new, it has made a name for itself in the US gambling capital.
It features a two-story casino as well as a three-story sportsbook lounge, with its own three-story 78 megapixel screen. There is also a six-tiered swimming pool as well as the longest outdoor bar on Freemont Street Experience, and the longest indoor bar in the whole state.
During the party, which kicked off with a countdown and a giant custom animation on the three-story sportsbook screen, live music was provided by The Drumbots, and refreshments were flowing, thanks to the open bar.
In an interview with Vegas24Seven, Circa CEO, Derek Stevens, said: “We’ve thrown some pretty over-the-top events at Circa, but Slotapalooza took things to a new level.
“With every single slot machine in our casino running simultaneously and a packed crowd living it up, we were able to truly celebrate the players who bring our casino floors to life every day.”
The day started with a slots tournament in which players enjoyed two minutes on the Cleopatra slot machines. The main prize was a Game King Poker machine or $2,500 cash.
In total, the 50 best players – those who won the most money in their two-minute allotments – shared in $15,000 of slot free plays.
Multiple vendor activations ran throughout the event, each restricted to 200 entrants and closed after 70 minutes.
Aristocrat offered a $10,000 slot pull, while Light & Wonder followed suit with a $5,000 pull of its own along with backpack and plush toy giveaways.
Interblock’s activation saw players playing to win their share of $5,000 and branded merchandise giveaways.
Branded giveaways were offered throughout the event, and Circa itself gave away $5,000 in slot free play.
The free play prizes were given to randomly selected hot seats with prizes awarded every 90 seconds for the first 15 minutes of the event.
Players who took part in the main event of the day, billed as the ‘World’s Largest Slot Party’, also received ‘1312 Club’ t-shirts. The name referred to the fact that all of Circa’s 1,312 slot machines were in operation simultaneously.
