โญ Online Craps for Real Money

Online Craps

Betway is one of the few online casinos in the online gaming industry where you can play craps games. First deposit offer valid for NJ & PA new customers.

Few casino games generate a buzz like the craps table at land-based casinos. This dice game can attract quite a crowd when a shooter is on a hot streak. Every time they hit a 7 or 11, everyone cheers.

Despite the popularity of this social game, playing real money craps games wasn’t common on U.S. online casinos. Several popular online casinos now let you play mobile craps as a software game and as live dealer games. You can find online craps for real money in all states where online casinos are legal, so everyone can start playing when they choose to; the best part is that there’s always an open spot at the table.

โญ Best Craps Casinos USA 2023

Since craps is a relatively new game on online casinos, it’s not available on all of them. However, there are already plenty of options. There are currently no online craps bonuses on any casino site, but casinos offer welcome bonuses for new customers. If you want to play craps for real money, check out these casino sites:

Craps Site Casino Bonuses
Betway Casino $1,000 Bonus Offer
DraftKings Casino $2,000 Deposit Bonus
BetRivers $250-$1,000 Welcome Bonus
BetMGM $1,000 Deposit + $25 No Deposit Bonus Offers
PlayLive! $500 Bonus + 25 Free Spins
FanDuel Casino $2,000 Play It Again
Real Money Online Craps

You can start playing games on a few online casinos, which also offer a generous welcome bonus. Check each wagering req. and qualifying deposit for the total bonus before playing.

Bonus Wagering Requirement

To prevent bonus chasers from driving them broke, many online casinos in the U.S. attach wagering requirements and game weighting to the new players’ welcome bonus. Table games often don’t count for the full amount, so playing craps online for $1 does not equal $1 of welcome bonus wagering. Always check each casino’s minimum deposit and T&Cs for new players’ bonuses before starting to play, so you don’t get an unwelcome surprise instead of bonus wins. The unused bonus amount will be withdrawn after a certain amount of time.

โญ How to Play

The craps table is a beloved part of the land-based casino experience. And while playing online craps table might not give you the same experience as playing with others, you can enjoy the comforts of home while playing. But before you, you need to master some rules and the correct craps lingo. Despite the busy craps table layout, it’s easy even for beginner players to learn to play; follow our step-by-step guide to get started.

  • Craps is played in two phases. You begin a round with basic bets on either the Pass Line or Don’t Pass Bar. The shooter then throws a come-out roll with the two dice created by a Random Number Generator. If they roll a 7 or 11, the Pass Line bets win. If 2, 3, or 12 hits, the Don’t Pass bets win. If the shooter throws any other number, nobody wins or loses. Instead, that number becomes the point number.
  • If the roller sets a point number, pass line wagers depend on that established point hitting. So if the shooter throws a 4, you hope that number is rolled before a 7. If a 7 comes up first, all Pass Line bettors lose, whereas Don’t Pass bets win. Note that the other three numbers (2, 3, 12) from the come-out roll don’t lose.
  • If you hit a point, the round continues and you can place new Pass Line bets. You continue playing and throwing the craps dice until you lose a bet. Experienced players bet several wagers during a game. A new shooter rolls the dice every round, the turn passing around the table.
  • What about wagering? During the come-out roll, always place a Pass Line bet, which has a better chance of winning than a Don’t Pass bet. Of the numbers a roller can make, 7 is the most common, hitting 16.67% of the time. Together, with 11 (hits 5.56% of the time), your bet wins 22.23% of the time, meaning they have the best odds in this favorite game.
  • What about Come and Don’t Come bets? After the first roll, these wagers function like the Pass Line and Don’t Pass, but they last for a whole round. You choose either one of the choices, and then the next roll determines the number you either want to appear or not before a 7.
  • With these tips, you can begin to play craps online and place bets, or learn about the more complicated rules.
Craps Online Real Money

Craps players mostly place a Pass Line bet for the best odds and to win real money. Some call Don’t Pass/Come as “betting wrong”.

Advanced Strategy

Got the hang of the basic rules of online craps games? If you’re ready to learn more betting options and the finer points of the game, here are some more advanced betting strategies experienced craps players use. You must pay attention to the game when going beyond Pass Line and Don’t Pass bets, as your chances of winning are lower. Note that even the best online craps casinos don’t currently offer New York Craps or several tables of craps.

Free Odds Bets

The return-to-player percentage (RTP) for Pass Line, Don’t Pass, Come, and Don’t Come bets are pretty favorable. A player wagering on these outcomes will get 98.6% of their money back in the long run.

However, the best way to narrow the house edge even further is to bet on any of these options and make “Free Odds” wagers during the point phase. These wagers have no house edge, aka “true odds”. These are the best bets you can make in real money games, aka no-brainer bets.

When you place a free odds bet with a Pass bet or Come bet, your RTP increases to 99.2%. Do it together with a Don’t Pass / Don’t Come bet, and it rises to 99.3%. If the game allows a double odds bet, you can push your RTP to 99.5% and win big!

Other Bets in a Game

As you can probably tell from the layout, craps tables have more bets you can make than just the multi-roll bets we just covered. Field Bets, Big 6 and Big 8, and Any Seven are some of the other craps bets that are available to you but that we don’t recommend. Let’s see what other craps wagers exist.

  • Field Bet: Can be placed after the come-out roll of the dice; if the dice land on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 on the next roll, you win. Most wins are even money.
  • Big 6 and Big 8: These are sucker bets; you bet that 6 or 8 comes up on a dice roll before a 7. The house edge is very high on these bets, so we don’t recommend 6 and 8 bets.
  • Any Craps: This means rolling the dice to 2, 3, or 12 next. Most players avoid these and look for better craps bet odds.
  • Hardways: The shooter hits a pair on the dice on the next throw.
  • Place Bets: A place bet relates to the numbers at the top of the table; you can place a bet on the point numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 to come before a 7 is rolled.
  • Any Seven: Bets that the shooter rolls a 7 next.

The 3% rule

Want to avoid significant losses at the craps table? Then follow what many players know as the 3% rule. In short, you should never wager on anything with less than 97% RTP.

Bad bets that violate the 3% rule include single roll bets, betting on craps, hardways, and hop bets. The worst offender is the “Any Seven” square โ€“ it has a dismal RTP of 83.3%, which means you are unlikely to beat the house often.

Exotic betting systems

If you’ve spent serious time in a casino, you’ve heard gamblers spouting off about their favorite craps betting “system.” Martingale, Reverse Martingale, Dice Control, and Three-Point Mollies promise more money.

However, as you may know, craps have a built-in (low) house edge. Unlike sports wagering, craps betting has a long-term negative expected value. Don’t be fooled – these systems may deliver big wins when you’re hot, but you can’t beat the house forever. Always seek to find the best plan or strategy for yourself to get the best outcome.

DraftKings Craps

DraftKings’ craps game interface is visually appealing with decent betting limits. Terms apply.

โญ Free Online Craps

If you want to see what the online craps games are about before playing craps online for real money, you can try out demo mode on DraftKings. This is a great way to practice playing and master the different bets and strategies before you venture over to the actual casino game and spend your own money. Most real money craps sites don’t let you play anything from the table games section using only bonus funds since the player wins so often, so you need to use demo mode to play for free.

โญ Playing on Mobile

Online gambling on a mobile device has become one of the most popular gaming methods. In addition to convenience, mobile app gambling lets users play wherever they want to on their mobile device. A game of craps is probably not the best table game to play on your phone, as the wide variety of info on the table doesn’t translate easily to the small screen. However, you can find the game for mobile devices on the mobile casinos we recommend. In addition, downloading casino apps from the App Store or the Google Play Store takes only a few minutes.

โญ Live Craps Online

Live dealer games have expanded to several games you can find on any gambling site, and now you can play live dealer craps games too. Right now, Evolution Gaming has introduced a live table through their First Person Craps. Several major U.S. casino operators have this game, which lets you switch from a software game to the live one when you choose to. Going live is a fun option to engage with other players and the dealer.

Vivo Gaming also offers a great selection of live craps for real money. They have three studios, which cater to European, Asian, and Latin audiences. There are no indications that Vivo intends to expand to the US market.

Live Craps Online

Live dealer craps for real money has arrived in the United States! T&C apply.

โญ Banking Methods

Before your can start playing, you need to deposit some money on your new account. In America, the best online casinos provide a variety of deposit methods for craps players. Deposit options on a cashier page may include the following:

  • Debit Card / Credit Cards (Visa/MasterCard/etc.)
  • Online Bank Transfer
  • PayPal
  • Skrill/Neteller
  • Cash at the Cage
  • Money Orders
  • PayNearMe by 7-Eleven
  • E-checks/ACH

Credit cards, online bank transfers, and eChecks are fast and convenient payment methods for most. However, they may not work for everyone. Some banks ban online gaming transactions for credit card deposits, and some players require more discreet banking options for depositing.

E-wallets like PayPal, Skrill/Neteller, and PayNearMe are all good workarounds, as they bypass prudish banks while respecting privacy. On bank/card statements, the first two methods don’t say where you spent debited funds. And in the case of PayNearMe, the only paper trail is an ATM receipt (if that).

How to Withdraw

After shooting dice for real money online craps, you’re ready to withdraw your winnings. The best casinos allow you to withdraw using the following banking methods:

  • Online Bank Transfer
  • PayPal
  • Skrill/Neteller
  • Cash at the Cage
  • E-checks/ACH
  • Paper checks
  • Prepaid casino cards

Unlike deposits, withdrawals take time to process, regardless of whether you’re using the same payment methods to deposit and withdraw. Upon receiving a withdrawal request, casino management will take up to a couple of hours to review it, which is not a bad thing. Once they approve your withdrawal, it has to make its way through the banking/postal system. You can ask customer support how long your chosen method takes, but fast withdrawals occur when you use the same payment method for both deposits and withdrawals. The top sites listed here have reliable payouts and active bonus offers, so you can enjoy craps without worrying.

โญ Best Casino for Real Online Craps

The best casino to play craps games is (unsurprisingly) DraftKings. Just the fact alone that they are live in all five states with legal online casino gaming is enough to push them over the other options, but their branded craps table and the user experience are not that bad either. Since the game is quite complex, you don’t really need additional distractions while playing, and the gameplay is very smooth. DK also has Evolution’s First Person Craps, so you can go live on the craps app when you want to. In addition to standard craps, they have a great game selection and tons of slot games, fast payouts, and some of the best bonuses in the industry for selected games. Check the craps FAQ to see where DK is available. Please play responsibly.

โญ FAQ

1๏ธโƒฃ Is it legal to play real money online craps in the US?

Yes, but it depends on your state. All forms of casino gambling are currently legal in Connecticut, New Jersey, West Virginia, Michigan and Pennsylvania. This means you can play real money craps on a casino site. Some casinos don't currently offer online craps games or a large variety, but we expect it to become more popular over time. Please gamble responsibly.

2๏ธโƒฃ Where can I play live casino craps?

Live dealer craps just made their debut in the US. Currently, live dealer craps is available on DraftKings, FanDuel, BetRivers, and other recommended casinos. So keep your eyes peeled on the top online craps casinos to see when there are live games online! You can find more information on craps games online from our casino reviews.

3๏ธโƒฃ What do I need to know to play online craps?

Beginner players should familiarize themselves with a few things before they start playing an online craps game for the first time. First thing, get to know the basic craps rules and craps bets. Second, check out free games from social casinos or demo mode before using your own cash funds. Remember that a Pass Line win is the most common way to win at craps!

4๏ธโƒฃ Are online craps games rigged?

No, they're not. Craps gambling, just like all games, are created using a Random Number Generator in a secure environment. This means that all dice throws are truly random, and your bets have an equally good chance of winning as at the best land-based casinos in Las Vegas. Note that all games have a house edge, and you'll lose money playing craps in the long term. The top online craps sites we recommend all offer a safe place to play but you are still using your own money, so betting strategically and within your own limits is important.
