⭐ In Contention
Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans topped their respective conferences, and got to sit out the wild card round. However, the Titans are sliding towards the bottom of the pack in the Super Bowl odds, as the quarterback position determines much of the odds to win.
Green Bay Packers
Green Bay experienced some off-the-field turmoil prior and during the season, but Aaron Rodgers and company finished the season in style (aside from the mishap against Detroit Lions in the Week 18 game) to become the #1 seed in the NFC, and are now the top contenders to win Super Bowl 56. Green Bay Packers are looking to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2011, and the first round bye gives them extra time to shake off dust from the regular season.
Kansas City Chiefs
Following their victory in Super Bowl LIV the previous year, Kansas City Chiefs got beat by the underdogs Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV last year. While Kansas City stumbled out of the gate in the beginning of the regular season, they rounded up the troops weeks ago to finish second in the AFC and are once again preparing for a deep playoff run, with Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill in excellent form.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Following a somewhat uneven regular season, which saw New Orleans Saints shutting out Tom Brady and the rest of the offense, as well as Antonio Brown getting the boot from the team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to repeat their Super Bowl win from last year and hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February. With some major injuries to Leonard Fournette and Chris Godwin, Brady looks to Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans to get the job done.
After getting four straight wins to top AFC East, Bills crushed the Patriots in the first round with Josh Allen leading the charge. In the next round, Bills will be facing the red-hot Chiefs, but their dominant performance in the previous week shows that they are ready to go all the way.
Even though they had the best record in the AFC and gained home field advantage, Titans are not the biggest Super Bowl favorites; many consider them the worst top seed in recent memory. However, the first round bye gives Titans the opportunity to rest some key players like Derrick Henry, who is hoped to be ready for action for their first playoff game.
Los Angeles Rams
LA Rams switfly pushed through Cardinals, but taking on the reigning champions Bucs will be a different story. Both defense and offense must bring their best once again, although the Bucs didn’t look unbeatable in their first playoff outing this season.
In their first playoff performance in years from the AFC North, Bengals took on the Las Vegas Raiders and was able to keep them off the score sheet during the last minutes. Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow has had a fantastic season, and the Ohio residents are ready to take on anyone.
San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo has been a bit shaky in the past few games, and almost cost the Niners their division round spot with an interception. There is no room for error when facing the veteran-lead Packers, as they have plenty of star power in both offense and defense.
⭐ Out of the Playoffs
Cowboys fans have waited a long time for their next appearance in the Super Bowl, but the wild card matchup against the San Francisco 49ers ended with a heartbreaking collision with an umpire. Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, and Las Vegas Raiders all stumbled in their games, with Raiders getting the closest to a win.
Pennsylvanians did’t expect much from this year’s postseason, and neither the Philadelphia Eagles nor the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to match their opponents in any area of the game. However, fans got to see Ben Roethlisberger, the long-time Steelers quarterback, off into retirement.

⭐ How To Bet on Super Bowl 56
The 2022 Super Bowl odds are out when it comes to the NFL futures, but you can also wager on the games coming up this weekend. As the playoff rounds are in progress, there are plenty of options for all bettors.
Super Bowl futures, quite simply, indicate the likelihood of each team to win the Super Bowl, and these are first released at the beginning of the off-season. Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs are favored to be the Super Bowl LVI Champion, while Titans and Rams are considered to have a moderate chance to win. Since anything can happen, experts explore potential future matchups, stats, and other factors before placing their Super Bowl futures.
Note that NFL futures also include the MVP of the Super Bowl. You can pick Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, or Mac Jones, or any other player with odds. Remember that both types of futures odds change when scores are posted and teams fall out of the playoffs.
Moneyline is probably the most simple bet you can make: you pick the team you think will be the outright winner. When the odds are released, you see a favorite (odds with a minus sign) and an underdog (plus sign). You stand to win more with the underdog, but it’s more unlikely as well. Having the best record often makes the team a favorite, but a few teams always provide some surprises.
Point spreads are intended to get bettors to bet on both sides. When you make a point spread bet, you bet on the team to “cover the spread”. So instead of counting the straight wins, a team has to win/lose by a certain margin for you to have a winning bet.
Keep an eye on line movement, as spread lines adjust based on the bets people are making prior to the start of the game, and you might not want to bet on the original spreads. Many bookmakers set also alternate lines, which can be interesting for more experienced bettors.
Betting on totals might be the way to go if you are unsure who to bet for. Total betting means placing a wager on the over or under: will the teams score more or less points than X? If you think the game will be a low scoring affair, you go for under; if the opposite, choose over.
Player and team prop bets are numerous in any given NFL game, but for Super Bowl, prepare for tons of options. In addition to in-game events, some states and many sportsbooks let you bet on the coin toss, halftime show, or other similar common occurrences as a prop bet. However, you can’t usually bet on the national anthem mishaps. You can bet on the first person to score a touchdown, which team leads at half time, or how many field goals are kicked in the first quarter, among other options.
In-play betting has become one of the most popular methods of sports wagering recently. Obviously, it means betting live on the game, and gives bettors a plenty of freedom to place bets. In addition, the line movement is swift as it is based directly on the game events. Options for live wagers include next person to score, whether the drive will end in a touchdown, and of course the straight bets like moneyline and spreads.
Now that you’ve taken a look at the Super Bowl odds board and bet types, you are ready to start wagering. If you are new to Super Bowl online betting, BonusFinder US has curated some useful tips to consider before you place bets.
- Budget: #1 thing to remember in any betting is not to go over your limits. Super Bowl is the biggest sports event in the U.S. and it can be easy to get swept up in the game, so set limits for yourself before placing bets. This way you don’t go over your funds.
- Shop Around for Odds: Super Bowl odds vary by sportsbook, so it’s definitely worth it to sign up at a few to see where the payout is the highest. Also, consider middling, which means betting on both sides of the Super Bowl line.
- Use Bonuses & Promotions: Speaking of sportsbooks, most offer sign up bonuses and ongoing promotions, and many have Super Bowl specials. So check out if you can score some free bets prior to the game, and you can earn some wins potentially with no cost to you!
- Look at the Stats: If you want to get serious, take a look at advanced statistics to get the most out of your bets. As Super Bowl attracts so many bets, you might not gain a significant advantage for straight bets. For prop bets, however, it’s another story. If you focus on the performance of couple players, you might find insights that lead you to make winning prop bets.
